Section 4 - Uninstalling the OBM software client

This section describes how to uninstall the OBM backup client application.

4.1 Uninstalling OBM on Windows platforms

There are two un-install methods available:



• Add or Remove Programs (Control Panel)


• Command line

Method 1 via the control panel




• Open Start menu, select [Control Panel].
• Select [Add or Remove Programs] for Windows XP / 2003




• Select [Programs and Features] for Windows Vista or above




• Select [Online Backup Manager] from the list and press the [Remove] or [Uninstall] button.

4.1.2 Uninstalling OBM (Command line)

Method 2 via command line




• Open a Windows command prompt (with an administrative user account on the machine).
• Uninstall OBM by running the following command:

>cd "C:\Program Files\Backup Manager"
>unins000.exe
